For COP30 and Beyond: Finance a Climate Resilient Earth

COP30 will take place at the heart of the Amazon Rainforest

in Belém, Brazil, in November, where the fabric of life is at risk. In communities across the Global South, families are losing their homes to floods, farmers watch crops die due to droughts, and children are spending their childhood surrounded by conflict and environmental degradation.

COP 30 Ummah for earth

We are reminded as Muslims: we are khalifah—stewards of the Earth. Our responsibility is to protect creation with justice (‘adl), compassion (rahma), and balance (mizan).

This is why the Ummah For Earth Alliance is heading to COP30 in Belém. We are not only carrying demands; we are carrying a vision,faith-led solutions rooted in our principles. We are creating space for frontline Muslim communities to speak for themselves, voices too often silenced. Our events will amplify their call, showing that protecting nature and living our faith are inseparable. Through our campaign, we are striving to place the lens of faith at the heart of climate discussions, ensuring that Muslim voices help shape the solutions we urgently need.

Our message for COP30 is loud and clear

A Just Transition
Fossil fuels must stay in the ground. The transition to clean energy must protect workers, communities, and the most vulnerable
Islamic Finance for Justice
Green sukuk, zakat, waqf, and takaful can unlock billions for adaptation, renewables, and resilience—free from exploitation
Communities First
Women, youth, Indigenous peoples, and grassroots movements must be in the lead
Accountability
Historical polluters, the Global North, and world leaders are responsible for every policy that propels destruction. Faith leaders will speak truth to power
Interfaith Solidarity
One moral voice is stronger together than any single tradition. Together, we stand for climate justice
Faith in Policy
Spiritual and moral voices must have a place at every table of decision-making
A Global Movement
Youth-led, gender-inclusive, anti-colonial. Faith-rooted. Justice-centered. Unlimited

This year in Belém, the world has a choice: continue down the present course of destruction or choose justice, compassion, and resilience.
