Faith communities around the world are becoming more and more engaged in climate action. This is translated into a very active participation of the voices representing them during global climate conversations and events, specifically COP

COP 28 taking place this year in Dubai between 30 November and 12 December 2023 marks a significant moment in the fight against the climate crisis. Hopes for this event are taking actual steps towards putting the promises made into action, implementing a fair process for the loss and damage fund, making sure that polluters pay for their contribution to the environmental crises we are witnessing, and by extension protecting the most vulnerable.

Ummah for Earth alliance, along with varied faith actors and communities, will be heavily present and presented in the Faith Pavillion. All the organized events serve to reiterate the importance of Muslim and interfaith voices as they come from some of the most climate-impacted communities. Muslim voices in particular should be widely included in the climate movement benefiting from their experiences and climate solutions, and because they also stand for climate justice and understand the shared responsibility to address the impacts of climate change.
